Harmony with heaven and earth – feng shui phases

The reality of creating “harmony” with heaven and earth first begins with understanding the easy version of connection to time and space.

Below is the the easy version, of time and space that ties the month of your birth with the  four directions of the compass.

The four directions: north, south, west, east, and the four seasons, winter-summer-spring and fall.
Make up the four phases of feng shui.

north for winter.
south for summer.
west for fall.
east for spring.

Were you born in the winter? were you born in the spring? were you born in the fall?
The compass “direction”, is were you would you need to go in order to create your personal harmony.

For example, let’s say that spring time in Los Angeles USA is when, and where you were born. Your birth direction would be to go east, because you were born in the springtime. East is the direction that corresponds to spring, see above.

If Los Angeles is the starting point of your life, because that is where you came into the world. In order to find accomplishment, success or personal harmony, you would need to go towards the east. This would mean anywhere, that is east of the place you were born.

Later down the path of life, the place you work at or the location of your job should be east of where you were born.
This basic idea is no different than the reasoning behind wearing short sleeves in the summer and long sleeves in the winter. If you were born in the winter, your direction of survival is north. If you were born in the fall your direction is west. You want to move in the right direction. The right direction ensures you that you are   going with the flow. Remember, the place you were born at, is your center.
