It signifies two symbols of the flow of nature, heaven and earth. feng shui practices recreate the natural environment in which the positive life energy, “Chi,” flows as freely and easily as does the wind and water. The ancient Chinese heritage will increase the flow of Chi in any area. Documentation has been dated back as far as three thousand years ago. Some believe it to be five thousand years ago which is around 3000 B.C. It was developed by a spiritual master, a student of nature and the spiritual realm. In order to utilize the positive energy’s of an area, the master designed a set of basic rules directed at increasing positive energy, within the wind and the water. This would invite good luck and positive fortune while supplying them with the ability to make the most of good luck when it arrived. His wish is still alive and well today.

In China, the acceptance of feng shui was in demand and it quickly gained popularity with the people. This knowledge and positive acceptance soon spread to other countries, and eventually was known world wide. Although suppressed in China during the 1960s because of China’s cultural revolution, but has since seen an increase in popularity again. Today, many homeowners and architects consult feng shui experts for suggestions on how to design houses. Interior designers are also looking for suggestions on how to decorating rooms or other living spaces. The consultant can enhance the energy of any space or area.

Today, there is a multitude of information available for even the most inexperienced amateur to apply the principles of feng shui into their lives, home or work space. Create that feeling of balance and harmony you have been needing and seeking. In today’s troubled times and turmoil, a person needs every edge they can get.
